The Nigeria Police Force has declared its preparedness to conducting free, fair and credible election at the Anambra off cycle election, 2025, coming up next Saturday, November 8.
This was made known during the visit of the Inspector General of Police , Mr Kayode Egbetokun to Anambra State Police Headquarters, Amawbia, where he urged men of the force to behave themselves professionally as they will be held responsible for their actions before, during and after the election.

Represented by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr Ben Okolo, Mr Egbetokun praised them for fighting insecurity in Anambra to a standstill, advising them not to relent but to continue to represent the force wherever they find themselves.
Speaking earlier, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, in charge of Zone 13, Mr Abayomi Oladikpo assured that they have made every arrangement to ensure a hitch free election .

In his welcome address, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikioye Orutugu, appreciated the IGP for being part of the signing of peace accord by all the governorship candidates, adding that they are fully prepared for the upcoming election.
