For smooth administration of justice and effective grassroots legal access, the Member Representing Ihiala Constituency One and Chief Whip of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Jude Ngobili, has renovated the dilapidated Oduga Customary Court building in Ihiala Town, which was established since 1902.

During the unveiling performed by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, represented by Justice Samuel Okoye, Barrister Ngobili said that justice delivery must be strengthened at the grassroots level, and described the renovation of the court as a response to the legal needs of the people of Ihiala.
In his remark, Justice Anyachebelu praised Barrister Ngobili’s initiative, stating that the project is tasty, well refurbished and modern, adding that the Customary Court plays a vital role in the state judicial system, especially in resolving disputes rooted in tradition and values.

In their remarks, the Traditional Ruler of Ihiala, Igwe Thomas Obidiegwu, Chairman of Ihiala Local Government, Engr. Anayo Orjiakor, Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association, Ihiala branch, Barrister Felix Obinna, and President of Ihiala Customary Court, Barrister Christian Okwudili, described the renovation as a timely boost to justice delivery, noting that legal practitioners now have a safer and more functional environment to carry out their duties.
