Anambra 2026 Budget Implementation: Ex – Ohaneze Ndigbo VP Okeke Ogene Tasks Residents, Investors On Prompt Payment Of Taxes, Levies

Residents and investors in Anambra state have been urged to support Governor Chukwuma Soluodo towards effective implementation of the 2026 budget by being alive to their civic responsibilities.

Speaking in Awka, the immediate past Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Damian Okeke Ogene said prompt payment of taxes and levies would provide the needed revenue to complement the federal allocation that would enable the Governor to further accelerate pace of multi- sectoral development across the state that would raise quality of life of the people, urging revenue and security agencies to adopt stricter measures to tackle challenges of revenue diversion and leakages to boost the state internal revenue base.

Chief Okeke Ogene commended Governor Soludo for embarking on the dualization of the Nkwelle Ezunaka – Three -Three -Onitsha road project, noting that the strategic location of the road makes it a priority project that would help ease volume of daily traffic and boost tempo of socioeconomic activities, calling on people living in the area to cooperate with the government by removing structures that would binder the project, stressing that people should not be in a hurry in building without approval on areas meant for public infrastructure. 

He expressed confidence that Anambra state would witness brighter prospects  this year as the Governor is determined to consolidate on his achievements and distinguish himself in governance
