The Mayor of Anaocha Local Government Area, Honorable Rome Ibekwe has charged local government workers not to mortgage their conscience but sustain the ongoing reforms in the local government system by voting for Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the November eight Anambra gubernatorial election.
Honourable Ibekwe who gave the charge at the Council’s Headquarters, Neni during a meeting with the staff of Anaocha Council Area, political appointees and other stakeholders also commissioned the newly renovated Works Department building, housing eight offices and stores.
He stated that his primary vision is to transform all sectors of the local government area, but frowned at those who despite witnessing an end to the challenges that had been facing the local government system still decide to support candidates and political parties whose track records have negatively impacted the development of the state because of monetary gains.
The Head of Local Government Administration in Anaocha, Dr Ego Okeke noted that since creation, Anambra has not had it so good, adding that Governor Soludo is committed to transforming and making the state reflect its sobriquet as light of the nation.
