Ahead of the Christmas and New Year festivities, the Anambra State security outfit, Agunechemba has intensified preparations and capacity building to ensure effective and efficient protection of lives and property.
In a show of force, operatives of the outfit held a special parade in Awka, to showcase preparedness for the festive season and unveiled new sets of uniform aimed at preventing infiltrations and impersonation of its operatives.
Speaking while supervising the exercise, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Chief Ken Emeakaiyi said Governor Chukwuma Soludo is determined to ensure that Anambra state remains the safest and most secured state in the southeast and Nigeria at large and will soon unveil state-of the-art security equipment, including sophisticated security drones that can maintain effective surveillance across the state, stressing that operations of the Agunechemba are now technology driven.
Chief Emeakaiyi explained that Agunechemba has approved sets of Uniform for all operatives across the state, including uniforms for communities, warning that any officer wearing anything outside the approved uniform is an impersonator and should be reported to Agunechemba for prompt action, and thanked Governor Soludo for giving them the opportunity to serve the state and security agencies for their tireless efforts in making the state peaceful and secured, assuring them that Agunechemba will continue to complement their efforts by providing needed intelligence..
