Bishop Ibezim Asks Christians To Profess Jesus Christ To Expand Evangelism

It was a renewal of life in Christ for one thousand, three hundred and twenty two Anglican faithful at Nibo over the weekend, as some of them were confirmed, some women admitted into Women’s Guild, and the men into Fathers’ Fellowship.


The solemn religious activity took place at St Matthew’s Anglican Church Nibo, with the Awka Diocesan Bishop, Right Reverend Alexander Ibezim, presiding.

Right Reverend Ibezim, who is the incoming Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of The Niger, called on Christians to profess Christ without being ashamed.


Right Revered Ibezim, said they are preparing the new disciples for the Kingdom of God which they could attain if they received power to become the children of God.
He encouraged them to bear witness for Christ and live out their Christianity without compromising .
Earlier in a sermon, a visiting Priest, Venerable Goodness Amechi, said through baptism Christians were salvaged and sins forgiven.
He encouraged the candidates to deepen their relationship with God who will give them strength to overcome life challenges.
While appreciating God for making it a huge success, the Archdeacon of Nibo Archdeaconry, Venerable Daniel Onwuka said that the visit was a moment of soul winning and salvation stating that the blessings of God flows upon those who seek him.
Speaking on behalf of the newly confirmed candidates, Bright Anachebe and Deborah Okafor, vowed to uphold the promises made and to live according to the dictates of God.
