Government at all levels have been advised to promote indigenous industrialists by ensuring stable electricity supply, to minimize cost of production.
The Chairman Orient groups
limited, Mr. Godwin Ezemo, made the call at the end of a two day
congress of the Alaigbo Development Foundation held recently at Umuchu,
Aguata Council Area.
According to Mr. Ezemo,
industries suffer set back and total closure due to huge resources they
spend in sustaining the industries, especially in using alternative
power supply.
He reminded government that
stability of such industries would boost employment opportunities,
government internally generated revenue and will attract more indigenous
companies and industries to the South East region.
According
him, over one thousand people are under his employ, with room to employ
more, if resources were saved from other expenses that should have been
born by government.
Mr. Ezemo said government
intervention was needed in areas of asses roads and steady power supply
to the Ezemo group of companies.
He called on
all hands to be on deck in achieving the “aku luo uno” clarion call of
the Willie Obiano administration being buttressed by the Alaigbo
Development Foundation.
