Hausa Community In Anambra Lauds Obiano On Security

The Chairman, Arewa community Association, Anambra State Chapter,
Alhaji Ibrahim Jubril,  has  commended  the State Governor Chief Willie Obiano 
 for ensuring  security of lives and property of the state’s citizenry.

Alhaji Jubril stated this during a peace making meeting he had with the Hausa and Igbo Rice Beans and dry meat dealers at Ogbo Rice, Ochanja market, Onitsha South Council Area.

Correspondent, Emengini Osabede  reports that while  addressing the gathering, Alhaji Jubril who is also a member Cattle Menace Control Committee in the State said the meeting was to create a cordial and lasting relationship between the Hausa and Igbo traders at the Ogbo-Rice area of the market, describing Anambra State as the
safest state in the country. 

He urged his people to be law abiding and pursue peace at all times,
advising them not to take laws into their hands, and appealed to the
market leaders to accommodate them in their midst.      

The President General Woliwo Layout, Chief Ginika Enyioha and Chairman
Ogbo Rice Woliwo Onitsha Engineer Charles Ohia applauded Governor
Obiano for initiating the meeting, adding that they have been looking
forward to such meeting and advised the Hausa traders to ensure they
maintain peace by reporting their grievances to the market leadership
for appropriate action.

The Commander Arewa community taskforce, Anambra and Delta States,
Alhaji Tijani Jubril, called for peace and understanding among the
traders describing Nigeria as an indivisible entity.

The Chairman Hausa Rice, Beans and Dry meat dealers, Alhaji
Alimustapha Lafani and his Vice Alhaji Alisu expressed happiness over
the meeting and prayed for peace to reign among the traders. 

Speakers at the meeting applauded the step taken by the Governor while
elougising the cordial relationship  among  them at the market and
urged the visiting team to explain to their kins men that they are one
at the market.
