A seventy-four-year-old woman, Mrs. Grace Okafor, was at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, yesterday to present a white chicken from her farm, which she said was sponsored by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Mrs. Okafor, a native of Eziowelle, told journalists that Governor Soludo gave her one hundred thousand naira at Abatete during a function and advised her to start up a business with the money.
According to Mrs. Okafor, she immediately started livestock farming, which she said is now booming.
She noted that she was at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square to present a chicken to the Governor as a form of appreciation and to inform him that she had started a business just as he advised her.
Mrs. Okafor thanked God for the gift of Governor Soludo and prayed that God would continue to bless him and grant him the wisdom to lead the state to greater heights.
