A new shopping plaza, Divine Control Plaza, has been opened in Umuokpu, Awka, in Awka South Local Government Area, with the one-storey building constructed by Mr. Ken Obidike featuring fifty-six shops and large halls for the display of building materials.
Mr. Obidike attributed his success to God and advised young people to shun illegal means of making money, noting that wealth acquired through dishonesty often leads to disaster, while emphasizing the importance of honesty in achieving success and calling for patronage of his building materials business.
He thanked God for His blessings.
During the commissioning of the plaza, Reverend Tochukwu Ubaezonu described Jesus as the Good Shepherd, citing Psalm 23, and urged attendees to submit to Jesus in order to attain success.
Those who attended the opening ceremony included Mrs. Oby Obidike, Ozo Ndubisi Igwebike, Architect Olisah Emekanwachukwu, and Honourable Arinze Lasbejoy, who praised Mr. Obidike as honest, dedicated, responsible, and philanthropic, and urged him to continue doing good.
