Soludo Attends NIPR Summit In Awka, Calls For Reputation Management

Anambra youths must go back to their roots by saying no to wealth without hard work.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo made this known at the International Convention Centre, Awka, during the 2026 Summit and Annual General Meeting of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Anambra State Chapter.

Addressing the gathering comprising the national and state leadership of the association, members of the association in Anambra State, industrialists, traditional rulers, and people from all strata of society, Governor Soludo, who appreciated NIPR for the theme of the event, “Managing Reputation Capital in the Digital Age: Influence and Integrity Management,” noted that reputation management is vital to the development of the state, especially now that many youths believe in magical wealth without work, condemning the act in its entirety.

Governor Soludo urged NIPR to deepen the Anambra Rebirth campaign by preaching enterprise and integrity in order to change the mindset of Anambra youths away from criminal idolatry and direct their steps towards hard work and resilience, noting that building infrastructure and developing every corner of the state will not be sustainable without the youths returning to the values of earning what they have.

He encouraged the people to always tell good stories about Nigeria and Anambra rather than projecting the state in a bad light, saying that by so doing they end up portraying the state as a bad society, adding that every nation is a work in progress as no place is perfect.

Governor Soludo invited everyone to his oath-taking ceremony, which will start with an interdenominational service to be held on Monday, the 16th, at the International Convention Centre, Awka, while the oath-taking ceremony will take place on Tuesday, the 17th, where he will celebrate Ndi Anambra for working together with him to achieve what has been recorded so far, assuring them that he will shift to gear four as Anambra is rising and will rise faster with the Anambra Rebirth.

Speaking earlier, the National President of NIPR, Mr. Ike Neliaku, appreciated Governor Soludo for finding time to be with them and said that the Governor has already started reputation management in the state with his preaching against the get-rich-quick syndrome, urging him not to relent.

A Council Member of NIPR, Anambra State Chapter, Professor Kate Omenugha, who is also the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, said that she is taking the university to greater heights because of what she learnt in NIPR, promising not to disappoint Governor Soludo and the institute.

In their separate speeches, the Chairman on the occasion, Barrister Chukwudi Oli, the immediate past Chairman of NIPR Anambra State Chapter, Professor Angela Nwamuo, and the Chairman of the 2026 Summit and Annual General Meeting of NIPR, Anambra State Chapter, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, went down memory lane on how the association is changing narratives by nurturing leaders of agencies and information managers, advising all leaders of agencies to join NIPR for better service delivery.

The event featured the presentation of a gift to Governor Soludo by the President of NIPR.
