The Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Ghebreyesus, has criticised the scale of global military spending, warning that the world’s priorities remain misaligned as millions continue to face hunger.
Ghebreyesus, in a post on X said that the global military expenditure reached two point seven trillion dollars in a single year, a figure he contrasted with estimates from the United Nations on the amount required to end hunger worldwide.
