The Chairman, Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Health, Honourable Tony Muobuike, has called on traditional medicine practitioners in the state to embrace emergency response training in order to improve their capacity to save lives in critical situations.
Honourable Muobuike made the call during a training workshop organised for Traditional Medicine Practitioners by the House of Assembly Committee on Health in partnership with the Nigerian Red Cross Society.

Honourable Muobike explained that the training was designed to create awareness on how to handle emergencies, noting that many lives have been lost due to lack of prompt response to incidents such as snake bites, accidents and sudden health complications.
According to him, the state government is committed to improving the quality of life of the people through accessible healthcare services, adding that knowledge and proper training are key components of quality healthcare delivery, assuring that the programme would be sustained.
