NAU National Association Of Banking And Finance Students Holds Annual Academic Excellence Recognition Ceremony In Awka 

The National Association of Banking and Finance Students, Class of ’99, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, has held its annual Academic Excellence Recognition Ceremony to celebrate outstanding students in the department, awarding laptops and paid school fees for top-performing students in the Department as part of efforts to promote academic excellence.

Speaking at the event, the  Head of Department of Banking and Finance, Professor Gideon Ezu,   praised the alumni’s thoughtful initiative, describing it as a shining example of how alumni can positively impact current students’ academic journeys.He commended the hard work and perseverance of the alumni, saying that it will inspire even greater dedication and a culture of excellence in the department, and called for more alumni engagement.UPSOT

Representatives of the NABAF Class of ’99,  Mr. Ndubisi Agbatekwe and Mr. Ahmed Inua  highlighted the importance of giving back, stating that the awards are meant to encourage a sustained pursuit of knowledge, encouraging hard work, rewarding excellence, and reducing financial burdens so that students can focus fully on their studies. 

Some of the beneficiaries, including Kalu Onyinyechi, Ibeabuchi Victoria, and Etim Joshua   described the gesture as both timely and motivating, adding that the awards would not only address their financial challenges but  will also boost  their determination to excel in academics .
