Valentine’s Day: FRSC Holds Outreach In Hospital, Gives Succour To Patients

Valentine this year arrived quietly inside hospital wards in Awka, where pain, bandages and slow recovery replaced flowers and music.

The Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps turned the season of love into a moment of healing, as officers moved from bed to bed to comfort road crash victims and other patients still battling the emotional and physical scars of accidents.

The outreach, coordinated by the Anambra State Sector Commander, Bridget Asekhauno, focused on reminding victims that they are not alone in their struggle as beyond emergency rescue on highways, the command used the visit to demonstrate continued care after accidents, while strengthening cooperation with hospitals to improve response time and treatment for crash victims across Anambra State.

According to Asekhauno, the visit also served as a renewed call for motorists and other road users to obey traffic rules, as many of the injuries seen in the wards were linked to avoidable road crashes, while beneficiaries including Joshua Onyezulumba and Amaka, said the visit brought them visible relief and renewed hope.
