Work is in progress on the Ekwulobia-Oko-Ufuma Dual Carriageway, awarded in September 2025, by Anambra State government.
Concrete and earth work commenced from the Ufuma end of the road with drainage completed on both sides of the road from Ufuma axis to Federal Polytechnic Oko.
Speaking to the ABS, the project manager Engineer Badwi Moussa, said that the drainage is one hundred millimetres over one hundred millimetres all through, adding that they were given up till 2027 to complete and handover the project, but they are doing everything possible to complete it before the time schedule, appreciating Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the trust he bestowed on them, promising to deliver according to specification for the benefit of the communities along the road whom he said are very cooperative.

In separate interviews, the President General of Amaokpala Community, Mr Nonso Nwogbo represented by Obinna Ikwueto and a tryciclist Mr Azubuike Nangwu who is a resident of Ndiowu, described the work as more than democracy dividends and thanked the Governor for the work, commending the contractor for quality and speedy work even as they assured that they are giving maximum support to the contractor to ensure seamless work.
