Anambra State Assembly Committee Takes Oversight Functions To COOU Campus Uli, Commends Infrastructural Development

An inspection recently embarked by the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure has revealed that Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli Campus, is gradually wearing a new look, following the ongoing construction of internal roads and drainage system within the institution.

The inspection focused on four-point-two-kilometre road project awarded by Anambra State Government to improve access and strengthen infrastructure in the University.

Chairman of the Committee, Engineer Emma Nwafor, said the visit was to ensure that work is being carried out according to specifications, and explained that the concrete mix and reinforcement materials on site conform with required standards, assuring that the committee will continue to monitor the project to ensure timely and quality delivery.   

 The member representing Ihiala Constituency One, Honourable Jude Ngobili, noted that the road construction highlights the growing importance of Uli Campus to the university system, and appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for fulfilling his promise to improve infrastructure across state-owned institutions.
