Anambra State Government recorded a seventy per cent budget performance for the 2024 fisicial year, reflecting effective revenue mobilisation, prudent financial management and controlled expenditure.
The State Auditor-General, Akosa Okocha, disclosed this at the Audit Forum and Citizens Accountability Dialogue on the 2024 State Financial Statements, stating that the state exceeded its revenue expectations during the year.

Audited figures showed that Anambra surpassed its projected revenue by over ninety-two point eighty-one billion, representing a thirty-three point twenty-one per cent increase above the budget estimate.
Okocha said the funds were deployed to critical development sectors, driving infrastructure delivery, improved public services and socio-economic development across the state.
