Anambra State Assembly Passes State Real Estate Agents, Developers Regulatory Agency Bill

A Bill for a Law to provide for the establishment of the Anambra State Real Estate Agents and Developers Regulatory Agency has been passed in the Anambra State House of Assembly.

The bill which passed through legislative surgery was sponsored by the member representing Nnewi South One Constituency, Honourable Nonso A touch joey 3ff who revealed that the Bill is intended to create and empower an agency that will be responsible for coordinating and regulating the activities of estate agents and developers with a view to ensuring sanity, fairness and healthy land and development transactions in the State. The Member representing Onitsha North Constituency Two  Barrister Patrick Okafor noted that the bill will help to sanitize the State Housing Sector and solve the problem of abandoned property, sales and resales of lands and also fake agents.

The Speaker, Right Hon.Somtochukwu Udeze described the Bill as important and beneficial to Ndi Anambra.
