More than four hundred widows and indigent women have received food items, cash support and clothing as the Dubonsa Charity Foundation marked four years of humanitarian outreaches.
The foundation was unveiled after years of private charity for widows, orphans and vulnerable families, however, the founder, Dr Uzoamaka Iloanya-Ezigbo, represented by Evangelist Queen Iloanya-Egbunonu at the anniversary held in Awka, decided to create a more structured movement that sustains community care to alleviate sufferings of the indigent and the less privileged.

The Chairperson of the foundation’s Development Committee, Mrs Ify Israel, emphasized that the initiative originated from a family tradition of generosity, and explained that to ensure that the largesse reaches the intended persons, they introduced a method where widows from different villages in Awka are registered through trusted representatives for a fair and transparent distribution.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Mrs Ebele Nworah and Mrs Gladys Nwammadu said the gifts will improve their lifestyle and save them from hunger especially this festive season.
