Akwa Village Health Center, Borehole Water Facility, Others To Be Completed Soon

The Chairman of Akwa Village in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, Comrade Arizechukwu Azodo has said that in line with the vision of the current state government, the village is being transformed into a modern city, adding that in weeks time, Akwa Village Health Center, with borehole water facility and staff quarters, will be completed.

Speaking on his stewardship, Comrade Azodo said that with the support of his village people, especially Chief Vincent Udobi and wife, his government acquired the land on which the health facility and staff quarters are built, renovated Akwa Village Hall, provided security gates all around the village, bought office and security vehicles, and continued to ensure that adequate security is provided in the entire village.

Other achievements, according to Comrade Azodo, include creating new motorable roads and making the old ones also motorable, upholding and promoting cultural heritage of the village, purchase of new plastic chairs, settlement of long lasting land and ordinary cases, as well as bringing peace back to families, clans and Akwa village in general.  

He promised to do more, including construction of a market and commercial park if his tenure is renewed, and thanked Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his youth empowerment programs which  he said Akwa village has benefitted from.
