The Archbishop, Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim says priesthood is a vocation of sacrifice and reconciling men back to God.
Archbishop Ibezim sated this at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka during the collation of Canons of the Cathedral and installation of Archdeacons of the Diocese of Awka.
Most Reverend Ibezim who is the Bishop, Diocese Of Awka, warned against running into the ministry of God without preparation, and the expectation to live in affluence, stressing that priests are commissioned for very important responsibilities, which they cannot faithfully discharge if they do not submit to Jesus Christ who called them to ministry.
The President, Mother’s Union, Women’s Guild, and Girls Guild, Provence of the Niger and Diocese Of Awka, Dr Mrs Martha Ibezim, who during the service, decorated the wives of all the newly installed Archdeacons as vice presidents of Awka Diocesan Women’s Ministry, charged them to double their efforts in evangelism.
