Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been announced the winner of the Anambra State governorship election .
The Returning officer for the election who is also the Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Professor Edoba Omoregie announced the result at INEC’s state collation centre in Awka, the state capital.
Professor Omoregie announced that Governor Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance won the election with four hundred and twenty two thousand, six hundred and sixty four votes, while Prince Nicolas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress came second with a total of ninety-nine thousand, four hundred and forty-five votes.
Young Progressives Party came third with thirty seven thousand, seven hundred and fifty-three votes.
He declared Governor Soludo of APGA, winner of the election for gathering the highest number of valid votes cast in the election and satisfying the requirements of the law.
