The Anambra State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives, Mrs. Edith Onwuka has debunked the rumour that nurses in the state are contributing money to thank Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the approval of implementation of the 2024 CONHES for nurses in the state.
Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Mrs. Onwuka said that the rumour flying on social media is baseless and fabricated story emanating from the enemies of the nurses and the state.

She further revealed that what nurses are doing is contribution to furnish their new Nurses House in Awka, which was agreed and documented during their meeting sometime ago.
Also speaking, the Deputy General Secretary of the association, Dr. Ikedi Onah made it clear that Governor Soludo is not demanding any Kobo from members of the association for the implementation of CONHESS for the nurses, urging the nurses to always verify information from reliable sources.

One of the nurses, Juliet Amarachi-Ezeh, also said that they are now satisfied that they are not contributing money to thank the Governor, appreciating Governor Soludo for all he has done for them.
