It was a beehive of activities at Emmaus House Awka as members of Women of Patience and Help Organization marked the thirteenth anniversary of the organization in a colorful style.
Correspondent Amaka Onwuzulike reports that Women of Patience and Help Organization is a non governmental organization established with the core obligations of empowering women, providing access to education, training and providing opportunities to less privileged persons, providing career guidance and counseling to young people and support motherless babies’ homes.


Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner for Industry, Mr Christian Udechukwu, who spoke through the Director of Industry, Mrs Jane Ebo-Nwosu, praised the organization for impacting the lives of many women through business credit schemes and noted that their mission fits well into the state government’s emphasis on creating jobs and empowering the most vulnerable persons in the society.

In an address of welcome, the President and Founder of the organization, Lady Adaeze Nwokoye enumerated some of their programmes to include food scheme and housing project for indigent women and families.
