The Nigerian House of Representatives has rejected a narrative by the United States Senate describing the country’s security challenges as a ‘genocide against Christians’ or state-sponsored persecution.
The move comes after US lawmaker Riley Moore urges Secretary of State Marco Rubio to take immediate diplomatic action over what he described as the systematic persecution and slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, which he called the deadliest place in the world for followers of the faith.
