Anambra State House of Assembly has passed a resolution urging Governor Chukwuma Soludo to direct the Commissioner for Finance, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, and the Chairman of the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service to review poorly performing revenue windows in the state.
House of Assembly Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that the lawmakers said that the move is aimed at boosting Internally Generated Revenue and providing adequate funds for the governments transformation agenda.
This resolution followed the adoption of a report presented by the House Committee on Public Accounts on the audited accounts of the Anambra State Government for the year ended thirty first December, 2024.
