It was a day of thanksgiving and political endorsement in Ivite-Umueri, Ayamelum Council Area, as Chief Egbunna Okechi celebrated 2025 New Yam Festival and publicly declared support for the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Dr.Onyeka Ibezim, ahead of the November 8 gubernatorial election.
Performing the symbolic eating-of-the-new-yam in company of stakeholders of the community and government officials, Chief Okechi who is also a National Patron of the Soludo/Ibezim Sure Victory Movement said that the gathering was not only to thank God for a bountiful harvest but also to reaffirm the group’s unwavering commitment to the APGA-led administration and praised Governor Soludo’s “tremendous leadership style.
