Anaocha Local Government Area has taken delivery of ten million naira worth of hospital equipment to re-equip primary health centers in the council area.
The distribution was the first phase of the programme in Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s drive to give a facelift to all primary heath centers in the state and the equipment donated were mattresses, Muac tape, suction machine, drip stand, Blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol testing instruments, anti-shock garments, drip stands, delivery bed, adult and child weighing scales among many others.
Speaking at the event, the Mayor of the Council Area, Comrade Rome Ibekwe said that the medical equipment will go a long way in curbing unnecessary deaths witnessed in rural areas, adding that it will enhance the success of free antenatal and delivery services being provided by the Soludo administration.
Commending the Governor, the President General of Adazi-Nnukwu, Engineer Cyril Anaetoh maintained that with the intervention, all primary health centers in the state are now in good shape.
