Searites Foundation Abagana Empowers 40 Youths With Vocational Tools, Rewards Pupils, Students

Searites Foundation Abagana in Njikoka Local Government Area has empowered forty youths in the community with vocational tools to make them self-reliant and employers of labour.

The foundation also gave cash prizes to primary and secondary school  pupils and students in Abagana who have excelled in in Igbo language, thereby encouraging the speaking and writing of the language.

Speaking during the event, the Administrative Secretary of the Foundation, Mr Chukwuma Eme who revealed that they distributed bakeries, sewing machines, gas cylinders among others to the beneficiaries, explained that the aim of the empowerment was to eradicate poverty and reduce crime to the barest minimum.

On his part, the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Area, Barrister Chinedu Ononiba commended the foundation for complimenting the efforts of the Anambra State Government in poverty eradication by investing in human capital development, and urged wealthy individuals in the state to emulate them, while some of the beneficiaries including Chidubem Oguejiofor and Peace Olisakwe assured that they will make good use of the rare opportunity given them to achieve their dreams and create wealth in the state.
