Anambra State House of Assembly has denied reports alleging an underground plan to suspend the member representing Ayamelum Constituency, Hon. Bernard Udemezue.
In a statement issued by the Chairman, House Committee on Media and Publicity, Hon. Ejike Okechukwu, described the publication as false, misleading, and capable of creating unnecessary tension among Ndi Anambra.
Hon. Okechukwu noted that the Eight Assembly remains focused on its constitutional mandate of lawmaking, oversight, and representation, stressing that no member of the House is being victimized or persecuted.
The House therefore urged Ndi Anambra to disregard the circulating rumours, assuring that members are united in their resolve to make laws that will support good governance and promote the overall wellbeing of the state.
