As part of efforts to support young and intelligent children in their academic pursuit while promoting healthy competition, the Nduka Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving pupils across primary schools in Anambra State, at a ceremony held at Chime Hall, Abagana, Njikoka Council Area.
Correspondent Kenechukwu Chukwudi reports that speaking at the even, the Founder of the foundation; Chief Mrs Chinwe Nduka explained that the foundation aims at encouraging academic excellence through healthy competition for primary school pupils.
The Chairman on the occasion, Chief Paschal Oraeki, the President General of Nri Progressive Union, Chief Romanus Okafor and that of Abagana Welfare Union, Ichie Ben Okongwu commended the founder of the foundation and the husband, Dr. Obiefunna Nduka for the noble gesture of giving back to society with their resources.
The overall winner of the exam-based scholarship, Miss Rita Aganaekwu of Immaculata Nursery and Primary School Nnewi, and the best teacher from same school; Lady Amaka Ezechukwu expressed happiness for coming tops in the competition.
