Anambra State House of Assembly has resumed plenary after a long recess, with the Speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, extending congratulations to the Senator-elect for Anambra South Senatorial District, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu, and the Member-elect for Onitsha North Constituency One, Barrister Mimi Azikiwe, for their victories in the last saturday’s bye-elections.
House of Assembly Correspondent Emmanuel Chigbata reports that while commending the peaceful conduct of the polls, the Speaker urged members to demonstrate greater commitment to their legislative duties.
He also appreciated the management and staff of the House of Assembly for their contributions to the successes recorded so far, and encouraged them to sustain the momentum.
