Hundreds of patients have accessed free medical services from Marcel Ofomata Foundation at Ozalla Primary Health Center, Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area.
The Chairman of the Foundation, Doctor Marcel Ofomata represented by his daughter Miss Adaobi Ofomata stated that the foundation is marking the tenth Anniversary of compassionate service to the people of Isuofia, Nanka and Igbo-ukwu, saying that the foundation has treated over thirty thousand patients across the three communities, performed over ten thousand surgeries, provided free diagnostics and vaccinations for maternal care and other chronic conditions, calling on government and organizations to partner them to expand the mission to other communities across the state .
On her part,the Medical Director of Marcel Ofomata Foundation, Mrs Ekaette Unanam said the programme runs twice every year for ten years and maintained that they have never had any mortality since the inception of the mission as they they have many doctors, nurses and laboratory scientists who were attending to their numerous patients and advised them to do a follow up in a hospital.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Mrs Nwakego Orabuchi and Mrs Eunice Nkeme thanked the Marcel Ofomata Foundation for giving them the free medical treatment .
