History was made last Saturday, second July 2025 at the Ekwulobia Township Stadium when APGA faithful and other party members from the seven local government areas of Anambra South Senatorial District, gathered to endorse Chief Emma Nwachukwu ONODUGO as APGA Candidate for the August sixteen, 2025 Anambra South Senatorial By-election.
The event which was attended by the APGA National Leader and Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo who was earlier adopted in the same occasion as the consensus Governorship Candidate by the people of Anambra South, was also attended by Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, APGA National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, former Governor, Dame Virgy Etiaba, House of Assembly Speaker, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, former Deputy Governor, Mr. Emeka Sibeudu, APGA National, State and Local Government working committees, APGA National and State Lawmakers, local government council Mayors, APGA Stakeholders and faithful among others.
Various speakers at the event including Governor Chukwuma Soludo reemphasized the need for APGA to secure for the first time, the Senatorial Seat at the Senate.
One significant feature of Chief Emma Nwachukwu’s endorsement by the people of Anambra South was the presence of his co-aspirants at the venue. Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, Right Honourable Paschal Agbodike, Honourable Chudi Muoma and Chief Akai Egwuonwu were visibly elated that one of them, Chief Nwachukwu has been endorsed by APGA faithful to represent the Anambra South Senatorial District at the Senate. It also confirmed the unanimous, peaceful and brotherly primary election they held which affirmed Chief Nwachukwu as the Senatorial Candidate.
The APGA Senatorial Candidate, Chief Nwachukwu, is a man of destiny, guided by the divine principles.
In 2022, he made first attempt at the Senate under APGA and remained a strong stakeholder, contributing towards its growth and progress in Nnewi South Local Government Area and beyond.
He is a prominent citizen of Anambra South from Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area and former President-General of Ukpor Town Union, philanthropist, role model, International financial expert, renowned Chartered Accountant, a devout Christian, married and God blessed him with children.
He has garnered enough experience in the political field and remained a good party man. We, in APGA can confidently say that our Masquerade, Chief Nwachukwu “Chara Acha” as he has a cherished quality of humility, industry, service and hard work, which are most needed in leadership and representation.
During his endorsement at the Ekwulobia Township Stadium, Chief Nwachukwu assured the good people of Anambra South Senatorial District that he will not disappoint them and will work tirelessly towards effective representation.
He thanked APGA National Leader, Governor Soludo, APGA hierarchy and Ndi Anambra South at large for the confidence reposed in him.
Umunnem Ndi Anambra South especially the APGA members, let us see Chief Nwachukwu’s Senatorial bid as a collective project and responsibility. Let us rise to the occasion and see his emergence as Senator for Anambra South Senatorial District as a common task by ensuring that APGA wins in all the electoral wards in Anambra South Senatorial District during the August 16,2025 Senatorial By-election.
