Anambra State Government has organized a three-day Sector Wide Approach capacity development training for health managers in the state.
Explaining the essence of the training, the Anambra State SWAP Desk Officer, Dr. Uju Okoye, said that SWAP is a federal government initiative targeted at every state in order to ensure improvement in service delivery in the health sector.
Earlier in his remark, the Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, noted that the training was to prepare participants for the Annual Operational Plan and discuss how to effectively plan for the next year for efficient result; towards rational, realistic, pragmatic and comprehensive plan that informs health budget for Ndi Anambra.
The Anambra State Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives and State Immunization Officer, Mrs. Edith Onwuka, Anambra State Health Educator, Mrs. Uju Onwuegbuzina, the Permanent Secretary of the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo, among others, attended the event.
