As the world celebrated the life and legacy of the first black President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela yesterday, some citizens of Anambra have urged African leaders to emulate the selfless life of the famous leader.
Commenting on the Nelson Mandela international day celebration, the member representing Aguata Constituency Two in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Honourable Tony Muobuike noted that Nelson Mandela international day is an honour well deserved as it honours Mandela’s legacy and contributions to peace, justice and human rights.
On his part, the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Chief Gerald Ozo described Mandela as a great patriot who showed exemplary leadership and he is being celebrated as a leader who truly stood for the welfare of his people.
