A one-day “Young African Girls Conference” aimed at bringing out power of girls with dreams have ended with a call on young girls to have positive vision.
The Acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, Professor Kate Omenugha, who was the Lead Speaker at the event held in Awka, went down memory lane on how her journey was until she achieved success, and told young girls to develop the confidence to work.
On her part, the Convener of the “Young African Girls Conference”, Dr. Ijeoma Omenugha, said that they gathered the girls to dream big, get motivated and inspire to lead so that they will know that nothing is impossible.
Two of the participants, Miss Miracle Okpara and Eunice Ekeh, affirmed that they have been inspired to achieve set goals and commended the Convener for such a bold step to educate, empower and expose them.
