The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr Felix Odimegwu has commended Olango Wildlife Park for establishing in the State, saying that it underscores their support to the state government’s efforts to promote environmental education, wildlife conservation and eco-tourism.
Dr Odimegwu was speaking at the grand opening of the park in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, an event that drew students and pupils from various secondary and primary schools across the state and top government functionaries.


In their addresses, the Director of Olango Wildlife Park, Mr. Godwin Uffoh who was represented by the Chief Curator of the park, Mr. Julius Samuel and the Managing Director of the park, Mr. Arinzechukwu Okeke, explained that the park is not just a home for animals, but a place of learning, fun and connection with nature.

Some of the students who visited the park, including Miss Chidera Ndubisi and Destiny Azubuike said that the park is rich in knowledge in academics and suitable for relaxation as they advised schools to adopt the park as first choice in field excursions.
