Following the unfortunate incident in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area where operatives of the Special Anti-Touting Squad, SASA, damaged facilities and vehicles, the Anambra State Government has embarked on fact-finding mission to provide respite and entrench peace in the community.
Government delegation led by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, was part of a town hall meeting with members of the community, in which the government made a commitment to cater for the damages incurred.

While stating that government has launched investigation into the matter, Professor Chukwulobelu expressed regret and condemned the act, assuring that the perpetrators will be brought to book, and that the operations of SASA will be reorganized to prevent future occurrences.

The Traditional Ruler of Obosi and Chairman of Anambra State Traditional Rulers’ Council, Igwe Chidubem Iweka, alleged that SASA operatives have been infiltrated by bad eggs; who should be weeded out, just as the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, Mayor of Idemili North Local Government Area, Mr. Stanley Nkwoka, President General of Obosi community, Barrister Chimezie Obi, Lady Philo Onwualu, among others, stated that the community has a good working relationship with the Soludo administration, and urged the state government to ban SASA operations in Obosi.
