The Anglican Bishop of Amichi Diocese, Right, and Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor has called on the church to be Bible-based, spiritually dynamic, United and Committed to pragmatic Evangelism.
Bishop Ikeakor who made the call while presenting his presidential address to the Second Session of the Sixth Synod of the Diocese at Immanuel Anglican church Akwaihedi, noted that the recent developments in the Spirituality, evangelical dynamism, and discipleship intentionality of the church calls not only for sober reflection, but also for urgent steps to rescue, revive and restore the core essence and values of the Church.

Speaking on the theme of the synod, “Heathens in church uniforms: an urgent call for re-evangelization and proper discipleship of church members”, Bishop Ikeakor stated that the Anglican church right from the era of Church Missionary Society and establishment of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, has its vision statement and urged Christians to go back and embrace Christianity.

Also speaking, the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Chibuzo Ibezim commended Bishop Ikeakor and his wife, Dame Nkem for the level of development and growth in the Diocese.
