Anambra Governorship Election: Anambra North Senatorial District Stakeholders Reassures Soludo Of Total Support

What could be best described as home coming was witnessed at the Otuocha Township Stadium during the grand reception organised for Governor Chukwuma Soludo to appreciate him for all he has done and is still doing for the Anambra North Senatorial District.

Stakeholders from across all the political parties were present at the event, including some People’s Democratic Party stalwarts, Honourable Gabriel Onyenwife and Chuchu Onyema, who said that the event was to show their hsupport for the Governor; whom they said has done very well in developing the area, noting that it is better they aligned with someone who is doing well for the state, even as they described Governor Soludo as a consensus candidate for Ndi Anambra North.

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembling, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, who said that the event arose from a meeting of all Anambra North stakeholders where they agreed that the Governor has done well and deserves to be appreciated, noted that the event, which attracted people of the area from different party affiliations, was to let the Governor Know that they are happy with what he is doing, and will give him one hundred percent support come November 8.

In their separate speeches, the state Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engineer Julius Chukwumeka, and his Petroleum and Mineral Resources counterpart, Barrister Tony Ifeanya, highlighted all the Governor has done for the senatorial district, including changing Okpoko from a slum to New Heaven, construction of many roads in Okpoko and Onitsha, building of five General Hospitals in Anambra North, completion of road to Anambra West Local Government headquarters, Nzam, ongoing construction of road to Aguleri-Otu, Mkpunando and Enugu- Out communities in Aguleri, to mention but a few, assuring him that Ndi Anambra North are solidly behind him.
