A development expert, Barrister Chidi Amaeze has advised Nigerians to always seek the services of certified engineers in building construction to avert the incidences of building collapse in the country.
Speaking to the ABS in Awka, Barrister Amaeze while expressing worry over the incidences of building collapse in Nigeria blamed it on the engagement of unqualified engineers, saying that building collapse and cracks being noticed in buildings must be averted if developers follow the guidelines associated with building construction and cautioned developers to desist from cutting corners.
Barrister Amaeze called on both the State and federal governments to seek ways on entering into partnership with estate developers by providing land where the developers will construct low cost houses for low income earners to reduce the challenges they are facing in seeking accommodation.
