A business Executive, Chief Jonathan Nzekwe has called on the federal government to seek ways of reducing the high cost of building materials especially cement and various sizes of rods being used in building construction to end housing deficits in different parts of the country.
Speaking in an interview with the ABS on high cost of accommodation in the country, Chief Nzekwe maintained that with reduction in the cost of basic building materials, the citizenry would be encouraged to engage in the construction of more houses which he said will go a long way in reducing the hardship being faced by Nigerians especially in seeking accommodations.
Chief Nzekwe who regretted the high cost of living in the country, called on the federal government to work out modalities on how to encourage local manufactures to engage in optimum production of goods that will be enough for the populace.
