Ex-Ohaneze Ndigbo VP Okeke Ogene Commends Harmonious Working Relationship Among Arms Of Anambra State Govt

The Anambra State House of Assembly has been urged to sustain cordial and harmonious working relationship with the executive to further accelerate tempo of development across the state.

Speaking in Awka, the immediate past Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, said God is using the present administration to entrench good governance, noting that the present crop of lawmakers have greatly distinguished themselves by enacting laws that impact directly on the lives of the people, including the Homeland Security Law that engendered effective and efficient security across the state.

Chief Okeke-Ogene asked other state assemblies in the Southeast Zone to emulate Anambra State legislature in focusing on people-oriented bills that improve the collective welfare of the people and the state to maintain sustainable development in the region, stressing that elected officials should always put welfare of the people above personal and political interest.

On the coming Anambra governorship election, the former Ohaneze Ndigbo Vice President enjoined the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies to ensure proper and adequate preparations for hitch-free polls, as well as level playing ground for all parties.
