The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, has assured that the 8th Assembly remains committed to the development and progress of the state.
Giving the assurance at a special thanksgiving service held at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith, Awka to mark the second anniversary of the 8th Assembly, Right Honourable Udeze expressed gratitude to God for a remarkable two years in office, describing it as the first time in the history of the Assembly that such synergy and commitment towards the progress of Anambra State has been witnessed.

He commended his fellow lawmakers for their dedication in ensuring quality representation and impactful legislation, while commending Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his visionary leadership, noting that development is ongoing across all constituencies in the state.

In his sermon titled; “Dry bones shall rise again”, the Archbishop of the Province of the Niger, and Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, praised the Speaker and the Assembly for their dedication to the people, urging men and political leaders to renew their relationship with God; as according to him, many men have abandoned their spiritual responsibilities and family duties.
