All is now set for the second session of the 6th synod of the Anglican Diocese of Amichi with the theme; “Heathen in church uniform: urgent call for reevangelisation and proper discipleship of the church”,
The synod, which will hold at Immanuel Anglican Church Akwaihedi, Nnewi South council area, will commence on Thursday 19th and end on Sunday 22nd June 2025, and during the synod, the Bishop of the Diocese, Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor, will give score card of activities in the diocese within the synod year.

Speaking during a press briefing after inspection of the synod venue in company of the clergy and the synod planning committee members, Bishop Ikeakor listed some of the activities of the diocese within the synod year to include building of new Episcopal and guest houses, acquisition of forty-nine to fifty-one plots of land for building of a college of education, negotiation of twenty plots of land for building of a befitting chapel for the college of Nursing Sciences and the hospital community, scholarships to give the young people a future, to mention but a few.

On the theme of the synod, Bishop Ikeakor stated that it is no hidden fact that church members are begging to see church as a social gathering where there is no difference between the world and the church, and stressed the need to intentionally go back to base.
