Blossom Fount College, Awka, has held an award presentation ceremony in honour of two of its students who excelled at the 2024 Wole Soyinka International Culture Exchange Programme and Essay Competition held in Ogun State, at the school auditorium.
The students, Chimelie John-Collins Okoye emerged second in the national essay competition and received a laptop and three hundred thousand naira cash prize as well as Favour Molokwu, who clinched first place in the spoken word category and was awarded a scholarship.


Speaking at the event, the Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, praised the students for their brilliance and described their victory as a reflection of the quality of education in the state.


The Manager of the school, Reverend Sister Marie Assumpta Ezinne-Okeke, expressed deep pride in the students, saying that the recognition was delayed as the school had been waiting for feedback and involvement of relevant government authorities.
