In response to the directive by Governor Chukwuma Soludo that all communities in Anambra should organize and launch their own Agunechemba unit to complement what the state government is doing,, the Nsugbe community in Anambra East Local Government Area has launched the Agunechemba Unit.

Inaugurating the Unit, Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ikioye Orutugu, represented by the Officer in charge of Community Policing Oluchi Aniemena and the Divisional Police Officer, Otuocha Division Mr Iruogabe, represented by CSP Chukwunonso Onunkwo and a representative of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Superintendent Grace Udedibia said that security of lives and property of the people is a divine task, reminding them that their job is to protect lives and property.

In an address, the President General Nsugbe Development Union, Mr Robert Ezeanwu, expressed satisfaction that they were able to complete the planning through the support of Committed Nsugbe Citizens Empowerment Foundation.


In a speech, the Chairman Nsugbe Security Management and Finance Committee, Reverend Father Emmanuel Anyansi whose speech was delivered by the Secretary of the committee, Mr Nnamdi Okeke, said that the introduction of Homeland Security Law by Governor Soludo could not have happened at a better time than now.
