A bill for a law to establish the Anambra State Commuters Manifest Scheme has scaled third reading and passed by the State House of Assembly.
The bill, sponsored by the member representing Ihiala Constituency One and Chief Whip of the House, Barrister Jude Ngobili, aims at enhancing transportation efficiency, accountability and safety measures in the state.
According to Barrister Ngobili, the bill, if signed by the governor, would see the establishment of an agency to manage the database of commuters within the state and provide assistance to victims of road crashes.
The Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze commended the sponsor of the bill and the lawmakers for making the bill to see the light of the day.
